My Personal Tips to Crack These Posts (From People Who Already Got Selected)
- Don’t just attach degrees - tell a story in your CV
I want you not to write your experience as if you were writing a boring essay. The most important thing to keep in mind is that the selection committee loves numbers. You should write one line under each experience:
For example: Do not just write, I worked at Mayo hospital from this to that duration where I worked hard to manage head and neck cancer cases. Don't make it just a paragraph like that. You should mention the number of cases that you dealt with, for example: Managed 800+ head & neck cancer cases at Mayo Hospital, or you can also follow this tone, like, Ran 40-bed ICU during COVID peak with 92% survival rate. I hope you get the point on how to write your experience to grab their attention with the number of cases you handled. - Research papers matter more than you think
For the Associate Professor ICU, you need 3 original articles as first/second author. If you have only reviews or case reports? Submit proof of “accepted” papers before the closing date - PPSC accepts them. - Prepare these 5 questions 100%
Here is the most important part of your application that you should not miss to increase your chances and get closer to the selection. I am writing to you with the 5 most important questions you should prepare in advance, do a little research, and find the answers to. If you can prepare these questions, you will be good to go. Please pay close attention to the questions that I am writing below for your preparation. -

The payment method for these applications is very simple; you need to pay online, then take a screenshot for proof. Many candidates lose their seats because they do not pay the fee. - Apply for both posts if eligible

I’ve seen doctors who are very competent cry with joy when they get these posts - these are the permanent job, respect, time for family, and a chance to teach the next generation. If you fulfill the requirements, that is great, or if you know anyone in ENT or ICU, forward this valuable information to them, just right now. Someone’s career is about to change forever.
If you're also exploring other government IT opportunities, check out these PPSC Computer Science jobs in Lahore for more options.
My advice:
For ENT candidates: If you have the qualifications, do not hesitate; just gather all your documents, get prepared, and apply. Two positions mean reasonable chances.
For Critical Care candidates: Only apply if you genuinely meet ALL requirements - 5 years teaching, 3 research papers, ICU expertise. Don't look for the benefits only apply just because it's BS-19.
And if you know an ENT or Critical Care specialist looking for academic positions, share this with them. Sometimes the best thing we can do is share information at the right time.
