Let me share with you what happened last night. I was having my evening tea, and I got a call from my friend Dr Aasim, who has been an Assistant Professor of Urology for the past 9 years till now at a teaching hospital. As he knows I do write job postings ona regular basis, he said it to me. I have been waiting for a Professor position to open up for a long time. I could feel the nervousness in his tone. He mentioned, I have all the required experience, even though I published papers and everything. But these positions are not easy to find, and they are so rare, and I am afraid that due to some reasons I might miss the announcement.
After listening to him, I promised him I would keep an eye out. And guess what? This morning, while I went to the PPSC official page for the latest opening positions, I was surprised, there it was, a Professor of Urology opening. Without a single minute delay, I called him and explained to him about the opening. After the information, his reaction made my entire day.
But that's not all. PPSC also announced Senior Registrar Paediatric Pulmonology and Assistant positions - totally different fields, different requirements, but equally important opportunities for people at different career stages.
The deadline is January 6, 2026 - we actually have more than two weeks this time, which is decent for gathering documents and preparing proper applications.
Let me walk you through these three positions because each one serves a different audience, and I want to make sure the right information reaches the right people.
