CM Punjab Green Credit Jobs 2026 – Rs 5.6 Lac Salary! Apply

The Chief Minister of Punjab's Green Credit Program has just announced two highly paid positions, and I want to discuss these because the salaries are exceptionally high for a public sector job. Rs. 2.05 lac for Finance Officer and Rs. 5.65 lac for Operations Manager. These are project-based jobs under Punjab’s environmental protection programme with a deadline of March 8, 2026.

But it’s not just about the money. The Green Credit Programme is the flagship environmental programme of Punjab, focusing on carbon credits, tree plantation, and other climate action initiatives. These people want to work on something that matters. You will be involved in calculating carbon sequestration, planning plantations and tree drives, and working with international climate finance mechanisms. So, if you have a background in finance or operations management and want to work in the public sector but also want a good salary, then these jobs will suit you well.

Let me walk you through the roles of these and who should consider applying.

📌 Program: CM Punjab Green Credit Program  |  🏢 Department: Environmental Protection  |  📍 Location: Lahore  |  ⏰ Deadline: March 8, 2026

Finance and Accounts Officer (PPS-07) – Rs. 2.05 Lac/Month

This is the financial management core of the Green Credit Program. You will be taking care of all the financial transactions, accounting records, preparing financial reports, and making sure everything is audit-ready. Since this is a carbon credit trading program and possibly may involve international climate finance, the accounting is going to be a lot more complex than a regular government department accounting program.

Education requirement: M.Com or MBA with 16 years of education from a HEC-recognised university
Experience requirement: 5 years in preparing and maintaining accounts in private or public sector organisations

But here's the real deal: you need to be a master of accounting standards, budget and accounts procedures, AG Office procedures, SAP and PIFRA systems.

I hope you know what SAP and PIFRA are. SAP is the enterprise resource planning system that is used by the Pakistani government for its financial management. PIFRA (Project to improve financial reporting and auditing) is the accounting framework that is being implemented by all government departments. The experience in these systems is very necessary because you are dealing with the government accounting structures, although this is a project-based position.

Your day-to-day job involves recording and reconciling the financial transactions - payments, receipts, and transfers. You will be dealing with cash deposits and disbursements, accounting records, preparation and processing of invoices and bills and most importantly, preparing financial reports and statements and keeping everything audit-ready.

Age 25To 45 years. Monthly salary Rs. 2,05,000, and this is a genuinely good offer for a PPS-07 Grade. This is a project work and not permanent, but with this salary level and such environmental work, it is a good offer for experienced finance people.

Operations and Procurement Manager (PPS-10) – Rs. 5.65 Lac/Month

Now this is where the real fun begins. Rs. 5.65 lac per month is senior executive compensation, and you should be able to match that. You're responsible for the entire operational side of the Green Credit Program – from day-to-day execution to procurement of goods, works, and consultancy services, to monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

An education requirement is a Master's degree in Project Management or Supply Chain Management from an HEC-recognised university. They're flexible on whether it's an 18-year MS/M. Phil ora  16-year Master's degree, but the field must be relevant. Experience requirement is 7 years of relevant experience, specifically in multi-stakeholder projects with demonstrated focus on timelines, budgets, operational efficiency, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

The "multi-stakeholder" part is key. The Green Credit Program involves coordination between provincial government departments, international climate organisations, local communities, NGOs implementing plantation projects, and potentially carbon credit buyers. Managing operations across all these stakeholders requires some serious project management capability and diplomatic skills.

Your core responsibilities are managing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth execution, resource allocation, and timely achievement of program milestones. You'll develop operational plans and timelines aligned with program objectives and facilitate the Program Management Unit staff.
It is important to keep track of project progress with respect to timelines, budget and environmental standards. You'll be providing operational support for project reporting, compliance and resource management. There's also a communication and outreach aspect to your role - communicating with stakeholders, coordinating public awareness campaigns and ensuring program visibility.

Age limit is 18 to 45 years. The Rs. 5.65 lac monthly salary is in the range of senior management roles in big private corporates or multilateral agencies. It's project-based, so no pension benefits, but for this level of compensation, you're building a good nest egg and getting high-value experience in climate finance and environmental programming.

Salary Context

Let me give these salaries some context. The Rs. 2.05 lac for PPS-07 is far above the 1st tier government pay scales. The normal PPS-07 positions in the Punjab govt pay Rs. 70k-1lac. The premium is due to the specialised nature of the program, the international aspects of carbon credit work and the need to attract truly qualified professionals.

The Rs. 5.65 lac for PPS-10 is a mind-boggling salary for publicly funded work in Pakistan. This is what you'd earn in senior management in banks, telecom firms and multinationals. The fact that they can offer such a salary with a relative certainty shows that they have a very robust funding source – either ICF or advance payments for carbon credits – which enables them to offer truly competitive salaries.

These are project-based positions tied to your period of service. Most climate programs are 3-5 years with the possibility of extension. No pension as in permanent govt jobs, but with these salaries, you'll still be able to build up good savings. And this experience will make you competitive for other high-paying positions in environmental programs, the development sector and international bodies.

How To Apply

Apply for the job through the official jobs portal of the Punjab Government. Positions are for the Environmental Protection Department, CM Punjab Green Credit Program. You will have to register on the portal, fill application form and upload documents

Documents to upload: CNIC, Educational certificates (Bachelor’s and Master’s) with HEC attestation, mark-sheet, certificates of experience from all previous employers stating what your duties were and for how long, and recent passport-size photographs. For Finance Officer, add any of your accounting or financial management certifications. For the operations manager, add any of your PMP or other project management certifications if you have any.

The deadline is March 8, 2026, coming up in less than two weeks. Based on the salary structure and these being single positions at their respective levels, you can expect very high competition and you must clearly show what experience you have that meets the requirement – don't just name your previous jobs, explain what you actually did in those positions.

Before applying, ensure that your institution is HEC recognised (check at https://hec.gov.pk/) and your degrees are duly attested. Selection Process Expectations

Based on the job descriptions and the high salaries, the selection panel will be very judicious in selecting the right candidate. For the Finance Officer role, there will be a written test on accounting principles, knowledge of government financial management systems (SAP, PIFRA), audit procedures and financial reporting standards. The interview will also probe into your previous experience in government accounting.

For the Operations Manager, it's a very comprehensive role, and the selection panel will want to know your skills in project management methodologies, procurement regulations (PPRA rules), monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and operational planning. There will be questions on specific projects that you have managed, how you dealt with challenges, your experience in multi-stakeholder coordination and your knowledge of climate finance mechanisms.

The interview panel will be composed of senior officers from the Environment Department and representatives from the international partner organisations. There will be a presentation and/or a case study exercise.

Final Thoughts

These are one-off opportunities – high-paying, meaningful work in a professional setting and experience that is relevant globally. The downside is that they are project-based, not job-based. But at Rs. 2.05 lac and Rs. 5.65 lac per month, they are serious runway building and experience that does not limit your options globally.

If you fulfil the requirements, especially SAP/PIFRA for Finance Officer or multi-stakeholder project experience for Operations Manager, then consider this seriously. Make a strong application, clearly articulate how your experience fits, and prepare to go through a tough selection process.

The deadline is March 8, 2026. That's days away. Do not waste this opportunity - make sure your documents are in order, that the HEC attestations are done, that you have a strong application that makes a case as to why you should be selected for this role and submit before the deadline. Rare opportunities where everything lines up – pay, impact, career trajectory – do not happen very often in Pakistan's public sector.
