NADRA Jobs 2026 – Cybersecurity, SOC & Office Positions

Three separate recruitment advertisements have been released by NADRA recently, and this appears to be the most exciting government-affiliated IT recruitment I’ve come across in quite a while. Islamabad-based cybersecurity Threat Analyst and Security Operations Centre positions, along with office-in-charge positions across multiple Karachi-based locations, with walk-in interviews starting 10 March 2026.

What sets these apart is that NADRA seems to genuinely require actual IT professionals with real technical expertise to fill these vacancies. The Threat Analyst position is seeking someone who is capable of monitoring the dark web and social media for cyber hostile activity. The SOC position needs practical SIEM experience. Both of these positions seem to be far from the traditional government technical openings that have technical requirements only on paper. Cybersecurity operations at NADRA are known to be genuine, and they are likely to need people who actually do the work.

Islamabad-based positions have an online application deadline of 8th March, 2026. Karachi-based positions are walk-in starting 10 March. I will break down each position for you.

Assistant Director (Threat Analyst) – Islamabad

This is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting cybersecurity jobs in the Pakistani public sector. You will be tracking dark web forums, Telegram channels, Discord servers, Twitter, and other sources for cyber threats against Pakistan. Whenever a data breach happens, you will be hunting. Whenever a piece of threat intelligence is received, you will validate it and enrich indicators of compromise.

Education requirement is 16 years (4 year Bachelors) in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or Software Engineering from HEC recognized university. You will need to get your degree HEC attested. If it isn't already, get it done before applying. Experience requirement is 2 years post-graduation in Information Security or Cyber Threat Intelligence.

Technical skills they expect you to have: threat intelligence tools such as MISP, OpenCTI, etc., integrating CTI sources with SIEM/SOAR/IR platform, 1 programing language at minimum(preferably Python), and having issued threat advisories /alerts. You will be working a lot with SOC teams, incident response teams, and management.

Age limit is 37 (5 years relaxation already included). This is a contractual position with 6 months of probation. Expected salary for Assistant Director level at NADRA is usually Rs. 80000~120000, depending on experience and negotiation.

Assistant Director (Security Operations Centre L2) – Islamabad

This role is for a SOC analyst, particularly at L2, so you would not only be triaging alerts, but also conducting deeper investigation, threat hunting, and incident response. NADRA operates a real Security Operations Centre, and this is not a check-box compliance analyst role. They actually monitor their infrastructure 24/7.

Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or Information Security (16 years HEC attested). A master’s degree is a plus, but not required. Experience: 2 years of hands-on experience in a real Security Operations Centre in a reputable organisation. They specifically mention hands-on experience on SIEM solutions – and explicitly mention Elastic Security, QRadar, Splunk, or ArcSight.

On the technical side, they are looking for the real deal – familiarity with EDR platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, malware analysis, etc. Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GCIH, or EC-Council CIH preferred. Soft skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills, since in addition to triage, you’ll be performing analysis, escalating to L3 or IR teams, assisting in containment and recovery, creating and tuning SIEM rules, and threat hunting.

The JD specifically mentions “willingness to work in any shift” – SOCs are 24x7, so rotating shift work can be expected, including nights and weekends. Age limit: 37 years. Contract position, 6-month probation. Salary expectations similar to the Threat Analyst role.

Deputy Assistant Director (Office-in-Charge) – Karachi (Multiple Locations)

This job is quite different. It concerns the operational management of NADRA registration centres in Karachi. There are 58 posts in total, and they are in different districts and centres. It is particularly interesting because it is a walk-in recruitment, and fresh graduates are especially encouraged to apply.
