📌 Organization: Faisalabad Waste Management Company (FWMC) | 🕒 Deadline: March 6, 2026 | 📍 Location: Faisalabad | 📋 Type: Contract
Director Operations (M-7) – 3 Positions
This is the Highest Senior Operational Role. Basically, you will be overseeing the waste management operation of the entire Faisalabad district. You will be ensuring that the contractors are doing their work, streets are getting cleaned, wastes are being collected and disposed of properly, and KPIs are being met.
The education requirement is 16 years. This means you must have a Master's degree (or Bachelor's Honours) in Environmental Science/Engineering, Environmental Management, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Social Science, Urban Planning, Business/Public Administration from an HEC-recognised university. The requirement is wide varying as we want people with certain technical knowledge and experience, but we need people who can operate a business.
Experience requirement is 4 years in an operational role of a similar nature, ideally in an established public/private organisation. What we are looking for is people who have managed operations at a large scale, have dealt with contractors and field teams, and have knowledge of waste management systems. In short, if you have worked with city corporations, development authorities, or private waste management firms, you have the required experience.
Age requirement is 26 to 40 years. Grade M-7 in FWMC structure translates to a salary range of Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,20,000. Salary depends on qualifications and negotiation. They are contract positions, so benefits might differ, but pay is competitive.
Manager Digital Monitoring (M-7) – 1 Position
This job is to do with IT infrastructure, and it’s quite technical in nature. You’re looking after the digital backbone of FWMC’s monitoring systems – tracking their vehicles with GPS, RFID tagging, mobile attendance systems, call centre integration, MIS dashboards, and all the network infrastructure that goes with it.
Education – 16 years in the following fields from a HEC recognised university – Information technology/Computer Science/Software Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering. If you have proper IT certifications that definitely carry weight – things like CCNA/MCSA/Cloud certifications/Project management certifications.
Experience – 6 years of IT infrastructure development, ERP implementation, and IT-based monitoring systems. They want someone who is not just a coder, but someone who understands how IT supports operational workflows. You have managed IT teams, implemented large enterprise systems, and troubleshooting is second nature to you.
Age – 28–40 years. This is also on the M-7 grade, so look at the salary range above. (Rs. 80,000–Rs. 1,20,000). The work is to do with planning and implementing IT infrastructure, managing DHCP/DNS servers, all the wireless networking, configuring vehicle tracking, making sure the mobile attendance system works smoothly, organising backups, training staff on IT tools, and managing the MIS team.
Deputy Director Operations (M-8) – 2 Positions
The Deputy Director is one level below the Director of Operations but carries their share of responsibilities. You have to manage day-to-day operations at the zone level - waste collection, street sweeping, transportation, and disposal, etc. on assigned areas. You are the person making sure things actually happen.
Education requirement is the same as Director Operations - 16 years in Environmental Science/Engineering/Management, Electronics & Communication, Social Science, Urban Planning, or Business/Public Administration from a recognised HEC university.
Experience requirement is slightly less - 3 years in a similar operational role in a good public or private organisation. So it is also a chance for those mid-level professionals who have a few years under their belt but have not even gotten to the Director level.
The age group is 25 to 40 years. M-8 grade usually has a bit less compensation than M-7 - around Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 90,000 range, but of course it depends on experience. Your job is to supervise the contractor’s operations, check on the service delivery, verify the number of deployed resources, ensure compliance with the SOP, prepare daily monitoring reports, address complaints from the public, interact with the local community, etc.

What To Expect In Selection
FWMC will probably have a long, multi-phase selection procedure. Shortlisting will be based on your qualifications and experience matching their requirements. If you are shortlisted, you will then go through a technical panel and management interviews. For IT, you can expect questions on networking, server management, ERP, IT project implementation, etc.
In operational positions, they will likely be looking at your understanding of the waste management system, experience in contractor management, problem-solving ability, and communication skills. You will probably be asked to give specific examples from your past work – how you dealt with a difficult contractor, how you dealt with operational bottlenecks, how you managed teams in the field, etc.
Salary negotiation will be in the final stages once you are selected. Be realistic about your experience level and market rates for a similar position in a public sector body in Punjab.
Final Thoughts
These are not fancy jobs. You will not be in a loaner office. Operations jobs involve field work, contractors, complaints, and problem-solving involving actual garbage. IT jobs involve tracking garbage trucks and tracking the attendance of sanitation workers.
But if you fit the qualifications, meet the experience criteria, and want a job that offers management with some real sense of civic contribution, the Faisalabad Waste Management Company offers just that. The application deadline is March 6, 2026. Get the form, gather your documents, go through attestation, and then submit your application at the FWMC office in Faisalabad before the deadline.
