I’ve been keeping up with PPSC announcements this month, and three jobs in Advertisement 03/2026 deserve more attention than they’re getting. Why? Because these are not your run-of-the-mill government jobs. We have an electrical engineering post, a public relations officer post at Punjab Food Authority and an accountant post that actually says “minority quota” (which is huge if you are eligible).
The last date to apply is March 2, 2026, which means you only have a few days left. Let me break these down real quick because if your background matches any of these, you need to apply today.
Quick Look – What's Available Right Now
📌 Advertisement: 03/2026 | 🕒 Deadline: March 2, 2026 | 📍 Posting: All Over Punjab
Position 1: Assistant Director (Electrical Engineer) – BS-17
This position is within the Industries, Commerce and Investment Department, and it’s a great BS-17 role suitable for electrical engineers. My favourite part of this vacancy? There is no experience requirement. So if you’re a recent BSc Electrical Engineering graduate and used to wondering how you’d break into government service, this is your opportunity.
The case number is 14J2026, the posting is “All Over Punjab”, which means you might get posted in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan or any other industrial city where the department has a presence. Typically, the Industries Department deals with the industrial estates, supply of power infrastructure for industrial zones, and electrical compliance for manufacturing units. Inspections, technical assessments, project monitoring and coordination with industrial facilities are what you can expect to be doing.
Age limit is 21–33 for males and 21–36 for females. And all you need is a second division in your BSc Electrical Engineering from an HEC-recognised university. That’s it. The eligibility criteria couldn’t be clearer.
Verdict: If you’re an electrical engineer sick of private sector hunting or want job security with a decent package, this is worth applying for. BS-17 salary with allowances will get you anywhere between Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 80,000 per month.
Position 2: Public Relations Officer (Punjab Food Authority) – BS-17
This one’s quite different, as it isn’t a technical engineering role, but rather is intended for media and communication professionals. The Punjab Food Authority is actually quite a high-profile department these days. They’re raiding eateries for hygienic conditions, sealing non-compliant food businesses, and running food safety campaigns across the province. So the PRO job is actually a legit one.
You need a master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Media Management, or Communication Studies. And then comes the bad part - you also need three years of relevant post-qualification experience in the public or private sector. That experience must be duly verified, and if it is from a private company, the company must be registered with SECP or any regulatory authority.
The job requires “excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills in English and Urdu, along with proficiency in MS Office”. Basically, you’ll be writing press releases, fielding media inquiries, handling social media, coordinating with news channels, and generally being the Punjab Food Authority spokesman. If you’ve worked in PR agencies, media houses, or corporate communications, you’ll fit right in.
The age limit is 25 to 38 (male) or 25 to 41 (female). Case number 13J2026. The posting is anywhere in Punjab, but in reality, the offices are in Lahore, so that's where you'd probably end up.
Why should you be remotely interested in this position? Because PR positions in government are few and far between, and if you’re working in an active, visible department like Punjab Food Authority, people will actually see your work, and it’ll matter. Also, the BS-17 pay scale, combined with the nature of this work, means this is a pretty sweet gig.
Position 3: Accountant / Auditor / Store Keeper / Cashier – BS-16
This role is with the Punjab Small Industries Corporation. It involves multiple tasks in accounts, audit, storekeeping, and cashier duties. It is case 15J2026, and it stands out because there is just one post. That position is reserved for minorities. If you are from a minority background and you have the qualifications, then there is a very limited pool of people that you are up against.
Again, the qualifications are quite flexible. You can apply with BCom Information Technology, BA, or BSc (second division) with a subject of Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics. The only catch is that you need two years’ experience in dealing with accounts matters, and that must be practical experience after your degree.
Note: “Confirmation on the post shall be made after successful completion of training or exam as may be prescribed by the Corporation.” So this is essentially a probationary appointment, but it will turn into a permanent role once you complete their internal training or pass their exam. That is pretty standard for technical roles in government corporations.
The age limit is very generous. 20 to 40 for males, 20 to 43 for females. Posting is anywhere in Punjab. Pay scale is BS-16, which will typically be Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 70,000.

How To Apply (Do This Right Now)
These three jobs are PPSC positions, as seen in Advertisement Number 03/2026. Visit PPSC’s website, search for the advertisement, and note the respective case numbers: 14J2026 (Electrical Engineer), 13J2026 (PRO), and 15J2026 (Accountant).
Be sure to have your CNIC, educational certificates, transcripts (in the case of the semester system), domicile, and, if you are claiming eligibility based on experience, the relevant certificates. For PRO and Accountant jobs, your experience letter is probably the most important piece of document, and I suggest having an employment letter, pay slip, and, in case you worked in the private sector, proof that your employer was registered with SECP. Pay the Rs. 600 fee, upload clear scanned copies, and submit. Don’t wait till March 1. Websites crash, things go wrong. Apply by February 28, at the latest.
If you're looking for more PPSC opportunities, you might also want to check out other positions like the PPSC Sub Engineer roles or browse through BS-17 government IT positions that follow similar application procedures.
Salary Reality Check
My Honest Take On These Three
These positions aren’t the most exciting jobs you’ll encounter in your lifetime, but they are decent positions. The electrical engineering job is a great option for fresh grads who want to forgo the mess of the private sector. The PRO job is a unicorn – media folks don’t get too many government opportunities at the BS-17 pay grade, so if you have the experience and can actually communicate, go for it. And the accountant job with the minority quota? If you qualify, you have a great chance of getting selected.
Do you want a government job? The bureaucracy is real, promotions are slow, and you won’t become rich in a hurry. But you do get a pension, healthcare, job security, and work-life balance that isn’t available in the private sector. For a lot of people, that makes perfect sense.
