It is November 30, 2025, and Sunday is here. I am enjoying time with my kids, playing in the garden, and sharing stories. But I saw this new PPSC advertisement, and I thought I should tell you about it before the day ends. It is Ad 45/2025 from the Planning & Development Board. They are looking for eight Assistant Directors (Technical) and one Hardware/Network Technician. The last date to apply is December 12. When I was young, I applied for similar jobs in government departments. It was hard work, but it was fun too. I helped my cousin prepare for his test, and he got selected after studying day and night. If you have the right education, you should try it. You might like the chance to work on planning projects for Punjab.

The Assistant Director (Technical)
This job is for eight people, three posts for women and one for minorities. You need a BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. No experience is required. The age for men is 21 to 33 years, and for women it is 21 to 36 years. You must have a valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration until December 12. If it has expired, show proof that you are renewing it. I think this job is nice for civil engineers who are just starting. My friend is a civil engineer. He says work in planning is interesting because you see projects grow from ideas to real things. He helped with a bridge project once, and it made him proud.
The Hardware/Network Technician
This job is for one person. There are no quotas. You need a Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with First Division or Grade B. Or a four-year Bachelor's Degree in the same fields from an HEC-recognized university. You must have one year of experience in hardware and desktop troubleshooting in a public or private organization. The age range for men is 22 to 33 years, and for women, 22 to 36 years. Experience only counts if it is after your qualification. My son likes computers a lot. He is studying IT. I told him about this job, and he is thinking of applying. He has done some troubleshooting at home, but he needs real work experience. Jobs like this are good for young people who want to fix tech problems.
Application Process:
To apply, go to the PPSC website at ppsc.gop.pk.
Fill the online form. Pay the fee of 600 rupees.
Make sure you do it before December 12. For the technician job, experience from the private sector is okay. But it must be after your degree.
Things to keep in Mind:
The test for PPSC is 100 MCQs. The time is 90 minutes.
For Assistant Director, study civil engineering topics like structures, surveying, and materials. Also, learn general knowledge, English, and math.
For a Technician, focus on computer basics, networks, and hardware problems. Practice every day. I did that when I prepared for my job. It helped me a lot.
Some books I recommend:
for the engineer role, Punmia for surveying and Khurmi for materials.
For the technician, Tanenbaum for networks and some books on hardware.
If you’ve ever explored other government teaching opportunities, like the ESE Teacher Jobs by the Punjab Labour Department, you know how fast these positions can fill up.
For your Information:
Do mock tests. You can use PPSC apps or books with past papers. In the interview, be calm and talk about your skills. My plan for success is to study the syllabus for 30 days. Then practice MCQs for 15 days. Do 10 mock tests. Revise your notes in the last week. Join groups like PPSC Punjab on Facebook for tips and papers.
One time, my cousin forgot his PEC proof. He missed the chance to get the job. So check all your documents before applying. Make sure your registration is valid.
